Granada has a wide range of luxury and cheap hotels, most of which are located in the city centre. Please note that various streets and squares in the centre are car-free. The best districts for a hotel are Centro (city centre), Realejo (the district between the city centre and the Alhambra) and the Arab district of El Albaicín (this area is on the hill with fairly steep slopes and narrow alleyways). From these three districts, the tourist attractions of Granada and cozy restaurants are all within walking distance.
My Top 3: Best Granada hotels
- Parador de Granada: Absolute favorite! Readers of my blog know that I am a big fan of paradores, the Spanish 'state hotels' that are placed in unique places and often in historic buildings. For example, Granada has also established a beautiful parador on the grounds of the Alhambra! A 15th century monastery has been converted into a luxury hotel and the parador has a terrace with views of the Alhambra gardens. You will not find a nicer location in Granada.
- Gar Anat Hotel Boutique: My favorite if you are looking for an affordable hotel. The attractive boutique hotel is located in a restored 17th century building and has a perfect central location in the city.
- Hotel Casa Morisca: Located in the historic Albayzín district with a view of the Alhambra. It is a beautifully renovated mansion with rooms around a cozy patio and for a very nice price
